Espoma Plant Tone

Post by Cali-wanna-b »

I use to use this fertilizer way back when I worked for a landscaper. We had great results with it. I took another look at the analysis on the bag and thought this fetilizer would be a good palm fertilizer. What do you all think?

Wanted to let you all know that I am in my 2nd month using Espoma plant tone on my palms. So far I am very happy with the results. All of my palms are greening up and starting to push new spears. I just gave them another monthly dose today and will keep a running report on my findings.

I've been using Holly-Tone with my palms along with other fertilizers. It works very well.

Hey turtile

Do you think Holly Tone would be better to use than Plant Tone due to most palms needing acidic soil? I really like all the micro nutrients that Plant Tone has in it.

There isn't much difference between the two. Everything is the same except N,P,K, and S (Plant is 5-3-3-1 and Holly is 4-6-4-5). It most likely won't make any difference if your soil is already acidic.
