Agave plants in Central Asia
Since I promised Chad posting pics of my agave plants please enjoy seeing and I would appreciate very much hearing any ideas on ID the plants...
This is agave that I supposed looks like the Chad's one (A.potatorum?):
Agave applanata?:
Agave ferdinand-regis?:
Agave multifilifera?:
Agave geminiflora?:
Have no idea. It might be A. utahensis var.eborispina but too frost tender:
Selected agave plants:
I have a few more agave plants to be presented next weekend I hope

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Beauties, Igor, especially that first one.
Glad I'm not the only person who loses labels.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

your Agaves look great Igor..............not sure with ID. The second Agave reminds me of A. parryi. The last one does look like A. utahensis v nevadensis to me too but it should be hardy down to at least -10C in your area. All Agaves are much less hardy in my climate than dry cold. The utahensis Agaves don't like my moisture.

Nice pics, Igor! Will you eventually plant some species in the ground?

Well... Chad, it is funny: our minus 16C this morning is a good chance talking about agaves
Since I have no enough room for overwintering the agaves. I have some which were left in my very bright 10-15 C temp library in my house. I put some into a deep cellar with a temperature 0 - minus 5 C. My 2 years parry seedlings are in unheated GH. And some small seedling are inside of a hole inside of unheated GH. Perhaps I need to take pictures of all these agaves in various places.
Too bad I still have no idea where I want to build a succulent bed for growing agaves-yucca plants outside.

Nice Agaves Igor! The first one don't look like A. potatorum. It's too big for A. potatorum.
Here is my A. potatorum
Your A. utahensis v. eborispina is similar to mine
