Livistona chinensis ~ These seem to do well inside, This one is from an end of season sale, just starting to put out more defined palmate leaves

( the chicken wire is around a sagauro my kids always seem to trip and fall on)
One in the GH too, going to plant this one out in the Spring

I agree the livistonia chinensis does very well inside. I brought mine inside probably 2 weeks ago and it has not skipped a beat. It continues to look great. This will be my second winter with it inside and last year it did great inside.

They do make statement both inside and out...
Mine just loves the outside (full sun) from spring to fall...

That reminds me! I have a few Livistona saribus (green petiole var.) outside. I'll have to round one up and bring it in to see how well it does.

I don't believe Livistona saribus 'green petiole' form to be hardy beyond -5 or -6 celcius (20f - 23f), but it could be. I do know that they are hardier than the 'red petiole' form. I noticed the ones I have are looking a bit neglected, so there's another thing on my to do list.
