Not many pics of variegated Yucca species here. Today Jan. 18-08 I took these pics of Yucca gloriosa var. variegata.

I don't think these Yucca gloriosa variegata are hardy in Edmonton, or are you refering to the Yucca genus in general terms?

Will do, although I've never seen any Yucca set seed here. Any local stuff always seems to be from divisions or cuttings.

Wes ... it appears to be forming a trunk right now it's about 6" of clear trunk and heavily branched. No flowers yet. The leaf tips are very sharp which makes it diffucult to groom.

Both of my yuccas are variegated but they are still small and easily snow covered. There are few yuccas that are hardy here and I don't think that gloriosa is one of them.

Can't really weigh in on hardiness or trunking here... But, I do have a Yucca glorisa variegata that I am testing this winter. So far it has seen temps of -22.4C. Not sure if it will look as good in spring, but I thought I'd post a pic of this small plant!
