Doug, good results considering the winter you folks had. Hilarious that the lights are still in the manufacturer's retail holders. Obviously worked. I always lay my C9s on the ground to keep the ground from freezing. And as Beny says, heat goes up, keeping the fronds warmish. Thanks for the up...

Sounds like it's been very cool the past two mornings.
I'd recommend keeping the snow/rain off them.

Good luck.

Yeah, I recall the TV story on their lawsuit against the Saskatchewan farmer whose cropfield was contaminated.
Monsanto contaminated his crop, yet Monsanto won the lawsuit because they convinced the judge HIS crop was screwing up their GMO field crop!
The poor old guy.

Judges bought and paid for.

Lobbying by Monsanto prevents governments from doing what the public wants, which is GMO labelling on all food products. No matter how small/minimal the GMO ingredient is in the total product. I say let the public decide whether they want to eat that stuff. Multinational deciding for us? ya right. T...

Points well made, Jim. I always thought a T-3 was way too warm...we were trying to get a Trachy more hardy after all. Not keep it from ever seeing freezing temps. The trunk was bent last year too, and I wondered if it was getting too dark there with adjacent trees shading it from even morning sun, w...

50cm of soil versus using the top 5 cm...hmm, that's interesting, John. Hopefully the public continues pressure on government to compel labelling of GMO (in any food content). And not hidden behind such ludicrous descriptions as "natural flavors"...nothing natural about lab-concocted food....

John, my BoP hated being in the cold building every winter, and never bloomed. Despite fertilizing late summer in other years, its first time blooming was the first winter it spent in the warm house by a sunny sidelight at front door. Preferred fertilizer for BoP is 3-1-5, or 12-4-8 with extra Potas...
