Remember how sad it looked when I received it (Canada Post took a week from Ontario...sucks!)
Corolla Tropicals (thanks Ryan!) sent a beauty.
Here it is on the south side of building...hotter than **** there.
Looks happy, I think.

It looks good. Nice dark green. Mine always look a little yellow this time of year. I start to fertilize to green them up and to push as much growth as I can

Looks good, Barb. I'm glad to see it come back.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Lucky1,

I see you have it planted. Just a suggestion, all the Musa's I got from Corolla are in bigger pots and I bring them in at night. When I bring them in they can literally pop a leaf every 2 or 3 nights or so, I left them outside for a few days, a few weeks ago and they slowed right down so, if you want more leaves quick, maybe pot it and bring it in at night or if it's a cool cloudy day (like it is here, only 7C)

Just my 2 cents, also, I would only get my Musa's from Ryan, he seems to know what he is doing and I have seen them at big box stores not looking so good. (hey Ryan I want a discount..lol)

One more thing, I potted them in miracle grow potting mix, maybe thats helping

Thanks everybody.
This poor thing's been potted/unpotted/repotted a couple of times...it's in its new home.
I'll decide in the fall if I'm going to pot it up for inside or knock myself out trying to mulch it for winter. :o

Yup I'm happy I bought from Ryan.

I'd better start fertilizing so there's more than 2 leaves to look at.

Anybody seen the April 07 GARDENS WEST issue? There's a musa basjoo on page 6, planted at a residence in Hatzic (zone 8). It's got about 40 leaves, looks about 15 feet tall...wow, it's breathtaking!
Wish I had a scanner, I'd scan the photo for you.
