What kind of plant is this?

They are a yucca related plant from mexico :) They don't get very big, but have a cool growth at the base of the plant.

No, they just grow a interesting root ball at the bottom of the plant, there is a special name for the root ball but I can think of it right now. I also think they are closer related to dasylirions than yuccas :oops:
