Very nice plants, love the parryi and ferocactus. Those date palms are just to die for. Thanks for sharing.

I have ferocactus like that for the life of me I can't figure out how big that one in the picture is.... Mine is quite small 8-9" high and 4-5" in diameter. I would love for my parryi to get that big. I saw one like that for sale in California but it was about $500 couldn't mule that back in my suitcase....

I think it was the size of a skinny volley ball-I have seen them in the desert 7' tall!

Haven't heard grass trees were typically found in Arizona.

Oh Jim, I'm so sorry for your loss.
There's never a good time to lose a loved one, but Christmas makes it even tougher.

In retrospect it was good that you were able to spend so much time in AZ with your Mom and sister last year.
Versus being at home in Fairfield.
