I do too, it really is amazing that these palms came back so well from places like Alamogordo NM, I looked around there on google earth and was just amazed!cuja1 wrote:I was just looking at palms in Alamogordo, NM. Weather Underground says they got down to -13 in 2011. I'm really surprised there are any still alive there. I like seeing palms in colder areas too.
The palms looked great, I hope too see palms like that one day out my front door.lucky1 wrote:Aaron, I especially remember your first pic of the Bisbee pair with that cute little house.

I don't now for sure what kind of palm it is, I just now it's the only palm that i have seen there. This town is right on a zone 8, down the road(20 miles or so) it's much warmer and a row of W. robustas grow without problems.Zabola wrote:Is that a needle in Alamo?
Than that is what it is. This is the best this plant has looked. Sad for a zone 8.Beny wrote:Really looks like a Needle palm, i have 4 here at my home and the leaves are the same !
