Yeah...im looking the temperature map of North America and you ve had a big change. Cold snap down to Texas  ....Last week some days here it was warmer than deep South US...amazing.
That cold arrive to us tomorrow with 2-4 inches of melting snow. Gonna be 35-38 F tomorrow pm.

Get all your stuff covered Jim? I just barely did, and if you had stock in the Thermocube company then you did pretty well just from what I bought this year since I added so many in the ground.

Most are covered,a couple Needle palms are not as well as a number of Sabal.
Gotta let a few go this year-better than losing everything.......... I did consider not covering stuff.

What kind of Sabal(s)? I had a larger Minor in the ground since spring...did well, but put 50 gallon barrel around it for this winter at least. Anxious to see how it fairs in the spring.

Didn't think last winter could be beat as far as cold....I know it's early but we might just beat last years cold. :(

If you just cover sabals and keep them dry they should overwinter just fine.

That weather just looks like it sucks! The way Nov. has gone here already dropping down to 16F, I believe everyone needs to embrace for a terrible winter.
