AGAVE.
I have no idea what kind of agave this is-it started
as a shoot, presumably off an A.Parryi that turned
out to be A.americana judging by the fact it died
from temps in the 15-20F range...this shoot made
it,came up 5' away and has somehow survived temps
that had to have been at least 10F(or colder) when it was small.
<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/user/orbea6 ... 1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 364151.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 100_9619_zps24364151.jpg"/></a>
and look at this shoot off the same plant-coming out from
an old stump-tenacious!
<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/user/orbea6 ... e.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0fb36e.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 100_9620_zps370fb36e.jpg"/></a>
A.Neomexicana-very sloooooow up to this size-
gaining some speed now though.
