Finally got my banana out!!!

OK get your minds out of the gutter people....I just finally uncovered my front yard musas...thought they were a loss after this coldest winter in 20 years in NJ,,but i think they survived even though it is the lowest i have ever had to cut back....

Mike, glad to see you back.
Thought you were stuck in a snowbank.
Your 17C oughta get them showing green in a day or two.

Our coldest winter in 20 years too here
...we ve had a bit less snow than usual...but the cold was insane this winter
...will uncover palms in the next 2 weeks and will see
..

They're doing fine still at home pushing out leaves, now the ones down here at the beach place are slower to come back probably because they are a lot younger and smaller than the ones at home....

hey Mike... looks like I've got a head start on you
Mine stayed evergreen this year Even a Musa Sikkimensis remained unscathed

I've a hunch yours will be taller by the end of the season

Nice to see the musas coming back, what do you do to protect the trunk? I always cut mine to the ground and never protect them. I have about 14 little ones coming up, but old ones never come back.
I dug my musa sikkimensis for the winter and good thing. I have actually lost a musella lasiocarpa and muse velutina. I do have a baby musella and thai black.
