Hello Everyone. I have lots of super fresh Musa Velutina Seeds for sale. For those of you who dont know Musa Velutina is also known as the pink velet banana and is a wonderful variety of ornamental banana. you can eat the banana if you wish as I hear it actually taste pretty good but has too many hard seeds to make it worth it. this is a dwarf variety that grows usually grows no more than 6 feet and can flower in its first year. This variety does well in pots and can even flower and produce a fruit inside as a houseplant. They have a spectacular flower which is followed by little pink bananas. They are very easy seeds to germinate.

I like the idea they only get to 6 feet.

For overwintering indoors, do they need house temperatures (warm), or can they go in a bright cold room that's often 35F?

It must be the snow and cold that makes me break my promise "no more seeds".
Sending you a PM.

Hello. As for winter temps the frost or a freeze will kill them back to the ground but they should be reliably root hardy to 10 degrees, and less root hardy as it gets below that. Since they can survive well in pots many people just keep them inside. at 35 degrees the plant would be dormant and not grow.

Hi Matt,
Will hold off until after the busy mail season so the seeds don't sit in a frozen mailbox.
Hopefully it'll be milder :? in early January.

Will plant them in pots, easier to move out of strong winds, etc.

Beautiful flower on those!
