Yucca elata utahensis scale problem

Post by seedscanada » Sun Aug 25, 2013 11:04 am

Does anyone have an example of the elata utahensis form that is growing well in cultivation? All of mine have been slow to grow from seed and all have grown slowly once germinated. They also all have scale. I grow 25 species of yucca in our garden. This is the only one of all of them that experience this. Anyone else seeing this on theirs, or have a nice specimen perhaps?

I have being had scales on all over my yucca seedling this spring. As for now they have gone. Hope they won't come back in winter time :(

I have used vegetable-oil on scale and mealy bugs.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
