Some Palms at UC Davis

[Jubaea]

Yesterday was a nice day here and I was able to take some pictures of some palms on the UC Davis Campus at ~38degrees Northern Latitude in the Central Valley of CA.

I will post the name of the palm that I think it is but am probably a bit off on a couple of them.

I'll Start of with one of my favorites the biggest Jubaea that I have seen and not yet mature as far as i know.

Any idea why those PDPs are leaning toward the big tree?
What's happening on the other side of them? erosion/flood?

Great pictures! Those Jubaeas look so tropical for such a northern location. And those trachys are huge! From a distance, they might look sort of like washies. I wonder if the trachys near my house will look anything like that a few decades from now...

I don't know why the Phoenix are leaning. The tops seem relativly healthy despite being nearly on their sides.

Great bunch of pics. love the Brehea armatas. I think a cool hybrid would be Brehea armata x with a W. filifera.
