Life made easier

Some times you just gotta do it-how I was going to cover this thing has been bothering
me and that puts the other stuff in jeopardy- like the Trichocereus which will need a little extra love-

Anyway, here the removal and in my opinion...an up grade worthy of covering if it ever gets as big as the Y.Aloifolia....

The murder weapons!

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6113.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6113.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The victims....

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6117.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6117.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6115.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6115.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

these will go into a hot spot next year where other stuff just fries!

Need some bling there anyway.

Well...what do you guys think do you like it better or worse?

I know the other Yuccas looked pretty much perfect
but just to big a monster in there!

Before

After

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6116.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6116.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6118.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6118.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

A couple more pics...27F last night basically the end of the tropicals-we'll see, some more wilting and weeping still to come.

Dead soldier(nearly)

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6119.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6119.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6122.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... 0_6122.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Even the Jacaranda did o.k. on the porch-

Sorry-no pics of Sandy to look at here....<img src=http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/tongue.gif>

Put those murder tools away before you get carried away, Jim :?

Wouldn't it have fit at the house-end of the cattle-panel GH???
Think I remember that yucca even held your GH up one winter.

How long does it take for the cut ends to form a callus?
In the case of my jade tree, dried for two weeks before planting in pots.

Barb

Couple days to callus.

I was going to dig these up next year anyway and replant-
the more time went by the less sense it made to cover them
as my lack of resources right now could have me shuffling now
with no way to get the G-house closed up.

Thanks Igor

Everything is the same height now so it is more balanced!

I will plant the Aloifolia to the east where the Brugs are-
nothing seems to do to well because of the hot sun there.

I really like the idea of the variegated one being the center piece,
the other is just to much of a tree-hard to support any covering
with all the small cacti around it.
