Mike thats an amazing yard for Montreal!
How did you manage to get those Basjoo to produce? I always thought they needed to be left standing all winter to do that?

IM sorry if this has been asked before but.....
So you keep them in the ground all winter im assuming. Do you cut and multch, or do you cover them in huts like your palms?

Hey canadianplant- this is the 3rd time in 74-7 years that i get bananas here in Montreal. They do obviously stay in the ground and I do cut them down to 1-2 feet tall and i make my cut on a 45 degree angle also just rose cones and this year just a tarp and some mulch since they were to close together for the rose cone
cheers
