New Find: Alpinina Zerumbet "variegata"

Just bought this from Superstore for 15 bucks. Supposidly can take zone 7 maybe 6 with god protection, and proper placement. Can be treated liek Canna, and dug up. Im going to leave it in its pot this year, then divide it next summer, pot up half, and plant half in the ground. My first attempt at growing ginger. Wish me luck!

Some can be a bit finiky apparently. This one is said to be an agressive grower. Ive seen a large one at the conservatory here, so I can agree with what ive read.

THe one in your pic is Zingzibar Miooga right? I need to get my hands on one of those but they are impossile to find up here. I hope its hardy down there!
