March

Post by hardyjim » Tue Apr 10, 2012 5:44 am

Basically the period from March 10 to April 9.

"Normal" Avg high during the period.... Hi53F/32F

This period March/April 2012

Hi68F/47F/thats +15F above avg!
Look how close our lows were to the normal high.
We have had past March weather as cold(avg)as 40F(the 1970s man) for highs.

Also....

28 days in a row 60F or better(only one day under)and 25 days in a row with no temps in the 30s at all!

10 days 80F or higher and almost 600 GDD compaired to 67 last year in March and still
double last years GDD in April!

April is pretty much spot on avg this year(which seems odd after March)complete with typical April frost...

Hi Jim

I read that Iowa was the 'warmest' place on earth last month. Keep up the good work!
