Year to year comparison
Outside today we have Saucer and Kobus Magnolia in bloom, Forsythia in bloom, tulips beginning to bloom (early ones), daffs, etc. etc. Many trees are also in bloom, and many have burst their buds. This is March 23rd.
What did March 23rd last year look like?

And this year?

Oh, and most of Eastern Canada broke their all-time March high temperature records:

More like absolutely destroyed the records in the maritimes!
Ive been trying to figure out how many records have been broken here in march. I know for a fact our "lows" broke records almost everyday. WE broke at least 10 days of temp records. All the record highs were 11 or 12C, im basing it on the temps we had over 12C. Too bad we are supposedly getting -7C for a low monday morning. Average, so i cant complain, but Im telling you by tree buds will.

Plants are flowering here too. I spotted a star magnolia, forsythia, daffodils and crocus in bloom.

Tim and Paul, you are two weeks ahead of me.... Most years Toronto is pretty well two-three weeks behind of Almaty.
