Podophyllum peltatum, American Mayapple

Has anyone have these plants growing in your area? I have alot of these in the forests. They are nice plants with one small flower. They are very poisonous. Here are the pics

No but something similiar, the evergreen pachysandra terminalis. It looks the same but doesn't grow any taller than one foot and also has a small white flower in late winter.

When we were on the acreage the light brush was full of what appears to be the Mayapple. Our plant grew up to about 18" high with each white flower producing a single red 'apple' about 1/2" in diameter.
Is that the same as your mayapple?

It's hard to tell becuase they did not flower yet but I know they are white. There is no red apple on them yet but in july maybe there will be. I will dig some out and plant them in my yard. They have powedery roots that can hurt your eyes very badly.The can give you a rash to. I think your right though. They are hardy to zones 4 to 8.

I've got a few Peltiphyllum Peltatums scattered around the place but I think these might be different ??
