Cold!!

Post by TerdalFarm » Sat Jul 23, 2011 9:47 am

I'm tired of the heat outdoors and so am looking for reports of cold.
Here is the latest, from Portland, Oregon, where I grew up and where most of my family lives:

"... Record low temperature set at Portland or...

a record low temperature of 49 degrees [F] was set at Portland Airport
today. This ties the old record of 49 set in 1954."

Any other cold weather to report?

I don't blame you for wanting news of cool weather Erik after all the heat you've had

My place today at 6:30 a.m. was also 49F (9.2C).

As I get older (and older and older   ) I just can't handle the heat anymore.
I'd rather wear a light sweater than search for deep shade.

Hope you get some relief...THINK rainstorm...and celebrate by running around the yard naked when it happens :wav:

I'd do a year in the slammer for that dance so no thanks.

Chile is suffering under record cold and snow right now, so I'm wishing I could fly down there for a ski trip.
but there is still snow in Oregon.

Heard a story recently that somebody/somewhere dumped tons of ice cubes in their swimming pool to cool it down.
Maybe it was you?

A "faceplant" would be welcome too!

Interesting the record tied(49F) was in 1954.
In this same year St.Louis set it's all time record high
temp of 115F.
