Well the inevitable has happened, and Siberia/the Arctic has descended upon southern Alberta

Was looking at forecasts for Calgary, Kelowna and Vancouver on both Weather Network and Environment Canada. Have you guys ever noticed how TWN always has more pessimistic ie. colder 5 day/ long term forecasts for cities in western Canada, as compared to EC? I don't know if this is the case for eastern cities too? I find TWN always tacks on ridiculous and unlikely lows, for places like Vancouver, at the end of a long term forecast-and they're rarely right!
