Off topic--pasture carriage driving

Post by TerdalFarm » Sat Oct 23, 2010 11:56 am

I loved Barb's photo essay.
I wish I had her photo skills.
In place, I took this cell phone video yesterday in the middle pasture as W drove her 3 yr old stallion Chistoso in her 1892 carriage in our middle pasture. You can see our mares in their own pasture. Palms are behind the small white house, seen in the background. I was passenger and could barely hold the cell phone still as we bounced along. --Erik

Thanks Erik what a nice comment.

Sheesh, bouncing along...I think I got stretch marks from twice around that pasture
Even missed the little white house, let alone the palms.
Next ride, I'm takin' Gravol.

Have you done a head count on the chickens?

Gorgeous horse!

Small white house indeed!
Our house shopping plan was, "small house, big backyard." I think this old double-wide fits the bill. We try to be outdoors as much as possible. The tiny house is too hot in summer and too cold in winter, so no point being indoors. Plus no TV. :D
Chickens? I can't keep track. W says about 70.
Does anyone else try to mix livestock and palms? I get the idea I am the only one so crazy.

Seriously, Erik, the chickens looked like they had trouble getting out of the horse's way.

Gorgeous piece of land.
