hi serj,
Based ONLY on my experience sprouting 50 Wodyetia, palms need heat heat heat...and a patient owner.
Mine took between 1 and 2 months to sprout next to the heat of a woodstove during winter, but germination among species can stretch to 6 months or longer.
Good luck.

My advice is look at where they grow naturaly. They are widley concidered the most cold hardy pinnate palm... So maney a few months at cooler temps?
IF they are from chile, especialy mountain areas, i would assume 55C, would cook them....... ID stick with 30C tops, and cooler at night. IF you leave the pots outside, in a shadier place, covered in plastic, i bet this would be enough. IF you have to keep em indoors, keep then in a warmer spot, out of direct sunlight. They dont need heat to grow at all, so why would they need heat to germinate??? Thats my logic at least.
They grow in the UK, and the north coast of france. There are some in BC canada as well.
I always use this site they have tons of germination info, posted my people, not the company.......

Palms can take 2 weeks, to 2 years to germinate. MOst take a few months. Jubea, is notoriously slow to germinate, and even slower to grow. They are regarded as easy to germinate......... just takes soemtime. IF i remember right, it may take 5 years to put out a single pinnate leaf. Once they start to leaf out, they speed up very very very quickly..

The Jubaeas that I have grown have taken 9+ months before they have germinated. Some have come up about 2 years later. I gave up on the first ones I planted and planted something else in their pot. Later on I had surprise palms popping up. Now I plant the seeds in the ground and let them do their thing. Now I need to figure out how to dig them up sucessfuly.

Hmmmmm, ive never heard of anyone trying thse with cold stratification ( doesnt mean someone hasnt). Mabey do a net search for it? IF you have a decent amount of seeds ( 10 +) mabey try some stratified, some in cooler temps ) say room temp, 18C - 23C), and some at a bit warmer temps ) say 25C - 30C.
Th eonly thing is, plants, and even seeds usualy can tell the seasons, so you may not see anything till the spring time ( which would probably be the best, c ause then you can use sunlight instead of lights/hydro to give em some light.
