I really enjoyed that.

Curious why you moved your Washy...instead of putting the big new Trachy there.
Everything looks great...from the YOU-NI-MUSS (ha ha) which none of us know how to pronounce, to the Magnolias.
Nice that the magnolia buds are so healthy looking and that the old leaves are sticking.

I like the layout of your plants around the pond-walk, great variety.

The rhodos etc out front look great, just wait until that yucca overtakes the standard eunonymous (spelling?)

Nice looking bamboo you got from Paul, that'll be lovely this year.

Barb, I moved the washie do to the protection. I was having to protect that garden way too early because of the washie. Last year I threw on the protection late Oct. The sable and needle beside it really didn't need to be protected until Dec. This way now all the palms in that area are about the same hardiness, easier to protect I think.

Not sure what type of crepe myrtle they are. Paid $ 1.99 in myrtle beach for them last year!! Sorry..

Makes sense,I did this too with my Washys-
put then in a row with Bizzy,Butia,then the 2 Washys,easier that way to have them
on the same cord/thermocube.

Scotty, the Washy doesn't look as though it suffered during transplant.
Matching protection is a great idea, saves on extra work.

That backyard will fill in so nicely.
Caution: ivy eats wooden fences (it's even crawling under my vinyl siding sections).

I can't wait to see your winter hut when everything's at, say, 12 feet.

I tried to comment on the video on youtube but got error messages.

Summary: nice cinematography. I'll copy your style if you don't mind!

I'm doing the same thing about putting palms together that need comparable winter protection. Thus, I planted 3 Ch. radicalis right by my large Butia so they can all go under a 12' x 8' heated palm hut next winter. Brahea is by Chamaerops as they will both get heat tape and buckets but no palm hut, etc. Perhaps not ideal garden design in the abstract, but sensible.

Great job in the yard Scott, that is going to fill in really nicely this year. I tried to watch the video on my phone
the other day but it didn't let me for some reason. That's going to be really sweet with your big trachy coming,
the spot will look really nice. I think you made a good choice moving your washy so you can leave the others
out much longer to enjoy. Like Barb said it seemed to move nicely too.

Looks very nice. I have a lot of Euonymous (here in jersey the pronounce Yew-On-Uh Mous) they grow like crazy and are pretty easily split. I have some lovely Crepe Myrtles too, that smell so good. They get realy big if you let them i like to cut them down each year and ball them off so they have lovely clumps ov tight flowers fro July and August.,, nice workl
