Windmill Palm - Brown Tips

I purchased this Windmill Palm last month and it's been in the ground about 3 weeks. When I got it the tips were a little brown but now it seems to be getting worse. I planted it in a mixture of cactus mix, perlite, and natural soil. It gets full sun for much of the day. Anyone have any ideas? I'm in Zone 6a MA.

I would not worry about it,pretty typical of these(and other)palms, just make sure it's watered well in warm/hot weather and it should improve in*time*as it gets established-NICE PALM

Thanks! The fun part should be getting it through a New England winter. Looking at many posts across the various forums I've already got some good ideas on protection.

Looks like normal water stress. Should be fine - looks healthy!

Nice palm Ryan! Did you buy it locally or mail order? I live in S. Attleboro and my Trachy flowered this year, so you should do fine for the winter. It helps a lot that you got it in the ground early so it has time to adjust. Where are you located in Ma?

Thank you. I'm located near Springfield in the CT River Valley. I bought it from someone in Florida who was selling it on another forum.
