Something's munching on Zamia vasquezii
Other nearby cycads aren't affected.
It probably isn't the frog to the left of the Z.furfuracea.

We have a plague of grasshoppers at the moment, this Cordyline looked great two days ago............

Steve, the munching has stopped.
And other cycads in the old spot aren't touched.
Still can't see anything except the odd small ant.
Ooooh, the damage on that Cordyline!!!
Where are flocks of starlings/blackbirds when you need them, huh?
I'd make sure the plant is in shade until it recovers and sends up undamaged new growth.
