Vancouver House Prices

Post by lucky1 » Wed Mar 05, 2008 7:40 am

This morning's Global News out of Vancouver showed a 90 year old house on a small lot was ...
are you sitting down? nine hundred and sixty thousand ... yup $960,000.

Apparently, a recent millionaire from the coast just moved to Nova Scotia (where $ go a lot farther).

I guess I'm not moving to that neighborhood.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

I wouldn't live in Vancouver or any major center, even if it was free (sorry all you Vancouverites).
Cheers, Barrie.

No offense taken.

I love it here but the big city is not for everyone.

Vancouver is very expensive. My poor kids will never be able to afford to live here. I guess we will just have to add to our home because they will never move out now.

Wes,
So changing the locks isn't enough?

Keats Island sounds good. I'd find it difficult to leave a house with in-ground Trachies, even for a vacation.
Do you ever use Keats in the winter?
That'd be cool...Christmas on a little island. No stores :D

Wes ... does Larry Wick still have his place on Keats Island? I've only seen it in pictures but what an awesome place!

Cheers, Barrie.

Barrie,
Yes Larry still has his place there. It looks awesome right now with all of those mature palms. A women I work with is his next door neighbour on Keats. She is now into palms also with both Larry and I pushing them on her.

Barb,
No problem leaving the palms in the winter. The winters as you know are not cold here. And yes we use the place on Keats in the winter. We call it a cabin but it really is a small house. We have water, electricity and all the conveinces of home.
