It's all your (Palms North) fault!
I'm in a Cycad frenzy thanks to you other crazy cycad folks. :D
Just ordered a Dioon spinulosum, a Zamia vasquezi, and a Zamia variegata-picta from Lori at Jurassic Plants Nursery.

I look at my gorgeous Dioon edule, and decided he needed some cycad company.

I cannot wait to get them and will post pics. :o

You will LOVE your Spinulosum.
Some advise thou, they are fairly sharp leafed, and also the leafs are VERY VERY VERY sensative. If a leaf gets bent over, it will brown very easily. So even thou it looks like a tough tree, treat it with care. But you will love it!!

Thanks, Wes, for the warning. I'll keep my garden gloves attached to the pot

Steve, that is a great link you provided. Thanks for that. Makes me feel comfortable about
wanting to grow these things. The author of that web site should be congratulated.
Lori has helpful info on her site, too, for cycad lovers.

When I want to kill a bit of time :? I Google Cycad images...and drool!

Arriving sometime next week...yabbadabbadoooo!

Lori has a lot of good info on her site, I am going to give her Cycad mix a try.

The Z.picta is one I have been wanting to get, checking to see if I know anyone that will be up that way this year :D
