Birthday Present - Yucca Brevifolia

Post by Bato367 » Thu Apr 09, 2015 3:18 pm

Got this for my birthday a few days ago. Was stoked to get it in the ground and get it growing! Need to measure it but it's about 8 inches tall.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Here is an updated photo of my Joshua Tree. I believe it has done pretty well in it's first summer here. From what I can tell, it is growing a defined trunk and has put on a 2-4 inches. Needs to lay off the carbs ...
:occasion5:

Well crap. Ill post a new one tomorrow cant find it. Anyways, made it to Joshua Tree National Park this summer! Here are a few pics. It's a must visit!

Great shots of the park!

Your J-tree looks like it is doing good, has just the right kind of growth. Next year I bet it grows twice as tall. Just don't water them too much, they rot easily. :D

Thanks! Yes, JTNP is a great place to visit; I hope to go back sometime and spend more time.

Yea I took that photo after a good rainstorm the other day. When it's hot and dry, I water about once about every week to a week-and-a-half. Seems to be ok with that schedule.
