Some palms are loose...

Post by hardyjim » Fri Mar 06, 2015 9:28 am

Got them open right as it went over freezing...not that it matters to much now.

The dead looking ones were not covered.

52 days @ 32F or less/ 16 nights @ 0F or below zero.

lowest (airport) -13F/ -8F @ home.

Holy Toledo, Jim, 52 days below freezing

Incredible results!
Palms look like they were beginning to lean a bit for light but they look better than fabulous!

Very impressive.

Look at everything bustin' out of the cactus enclosure! :bounce: :compress:
No signs of damaging humidity build-up.

Congrats buddy!

Awesome looking plants. Those palms came through in great shape. Your cactus area is gonna be a stunner this year! About how tall is your tricho?

Thanks Barb/Chad

Some of the palms in back (B.Armata)are damaged from the moisture and cold...

Chad

I measured the Thricho this morning,it is right at 25"...
I bet it grows 1.5'+ this year! Kinda scary because it is a beast!

Holy cow, do you know which ssp ( terscheckii?) the tricho is? I know mine is less than half as thick as yours.
