Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I was just looking at palms in Alamogordo, NM. Weather Underground says they got down to -13 in 2011. I'm really surprised there are any still alive there. I like seeing palms in colder areas too.

Aaron, I especially remember your first pic of the Bisbee pair with that cute little house.
They bounced back with a vengeance.

I do too, it really is amazing that these palms came back so well from places like Alamogordo NM, I looked around there on google earth and was just amazed!

I did see a few palms in southeast AZ that died, but was very, very, few. :D

I don't now for sure what kind of palm it is, I just now it's the only palm that i have seen there. This town is right on a zone 8, down the road(20 miles or so) it's much warmer and a row of W. robustas grow without problems.

PS I was hoping someone here could tell me what palms they were. They kind of look like sabals (did I spell that right?)

Than that is what it is. This is the best this plant has looked. Sad for a zone 8.
