Good to see this tree Opuntia flowering here-
to bad I had to cut it in half.

This guy is ready to bloom, these are not particularly
hardy and this guy has had a long road to get to blooming size....
I started with 5-6 all planted on the little rise
in the center of the cactus garden-this plant is
one of the pups that fell off the dying mother
and rolled down to its current spot-this is the only
one to live so,it has some hardiness!

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/user/orbea6 ... 5.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... ae0745.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 100_9381_zpsa1ae0745.jpg"/></a>

Top of the Tricho-already half a foot of growth with
temps just now warming up.

Little Takil is still on the mend...if you look close
you can see a tiny petiole and a half leaf, the next will be a healthy little "spear"...ideally..

Great ground level shots, spectacular.
And that Pachy top is photo journalism :D

Glad the little Takil is gonna shoot up gangbusters.

Looks like summer already in Iowa.
Enjoy that fabulous garden Jim.

Truly amazing. Your landscape is really nice. The cacti and agave have gotten huge I bet you get lots of people slowing down in front of your house to check out your landscape.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

the offset from your large parryi you sent me was untouched at -15 here with only clear plastic thrown over it and the gloriosa was burned but all new leaves are looking fantastic. those 5b winter must have made them tough and they cruise through down here
