Good result Tim, you did have any heat for that Trachy ? I know that you don t really need where you are.
Don t worry Henoh, you are not alone, still at leat 30 cm here north of Montreal, plus snow bank of 3-4 feets. But its melting quite fast now, days between +6 to +8c and night near freezing point. We are finally in the normal .
Beny, I did have a string of mini lights around the trunk which were kept on most of the winter....except when we lost power for 35 hours......and that night dropped to -2.9F (-19.3C).
Mousetraps (like we discussed in another post that seemed to work), baited with peanut butter.
Covered with a bucket with a rock on top so cats/dogs/kids don't get hurt.

Wait until you get some rain and 70s(next month the way things are going )and see how they respond....
my Trachys are not looking great either as it has not been very good palm weather lately-they are still sleeping.
Shoshone Idaho weather

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

How's the spear, Tim? My plain fortunei look real similar to yours - freezer burnt, but I expect a recovery. I had heavy protection - r13 from the ground to the crown, and covered with plastic. I kinda half-@$$ed the top, and think the cold infiltrated there. We had 2-3 low single digit nights and 2 72+hr freezes. Of all the damaged trachies I've seen posted on the HP&SB, the nainital have looked the best.
How is your inground citrus - I think it was a thomasville citrangequat or citrumelo?
Unfortunately, this winter has plunged most of North America to temperatures one would only expect north of the Arctic Circle...hopefully your trachy will pull through!
