Powerful Storm system coming my way

Post by yuccaman » Sun Apr 15, 2007 5:02 am

I not been posting here that much because of the weather we been getting.
Constant protecting plants and rushing to nurseries and buying plants and
getting them in the ground.

Winds could gust up to 40 mph to 70 mph.
Its going hit the 20C's on the end of this month :D!!

But right now today it will be 4C with heavy rain and a little wet snow. (1CM)

Its snow grains right now but I think we will be fine.
On Wendsday it will hit 9C to 10C rising to 11C 11C 15C

You will see it even better on the forecast below.
Radios have been saying that we will have a meter of snow. Not true.

Anyone else getting hit hard?

Yuccaman,

I just saw the news and the Niagara region is supposed to get 10-20cm of snow. YIKES! Summer feels like along way away even though it is just around the corner.

We got at least 3 inches of rain here and very strong wind gusts. I could barely walk this afternoon due to the fast wind. Tons of trees are falling down and everthing is flooding.

In Wilmington, they got slightly over 5 inches.

Its been like this for a long time and its very coolish and just shivering :(

But... There is warm weather coming for this week starting on wendsday high of 10C for us.

Everyone is farther south and turtile I think you might be in the mid twenties. (25C)

Everyone else including here low twenties. (21C)
Im going to plant some cactus soon and walk dogs :D

Wow, 5 inches of rain...
and we're dry as a chewed bone. But cold.

Sounds like we'll all look forward to the end of the week (or month) when improvement is coming.
March and April have been horrible.

Hopefully no damage at your place with the flooding, and winds.

Palmettoman

Also Im happy your palms took the cold well even though its not very much.

But some of my plants were nipped by the cold :(

Im happy its getting lighter out but that means less time of sleep.

Turtile

We got 42 mm of rain but not even close to where you are and other places
along the coast.

I can't wait to get the cactus in :D
