the Siberian cities 2 000 kms north off me have the temperatures above zero
So strange, Igor.
This Spring, we were colder than cities in Alaska and the Yukon.
Tried to find Kazakhstan's cities listing for the weather sticker...
If you zoom in, Igor, it'll show the cities where weather stickers are available.
I forgot your city name:

Almaty is a name of my city which means "the apple place". Our region is supposed to be an ancestor of the Malus domesticus varieties, or the place where the Father Adam and the Mother Eve were expatriated from.

You have strange things happening over yonder. I see that they had record warmth for Alaska at Prudhoe bay when they registered 39F in permanent darkness up there. Much farther south in Lakeview Oregon they set an all time low of -27F breaking the all time record of -24F set on January 15th 1888.
Right now in my neck of the woods its mild with high pressure centred over Europe pumping up mild air around that high. Temps are 8-10C with slightly higher temps in Scotland. No Cold weather forecast until at least Christmas and even then lows look to be only -4/5C.
It did look different three years ago though

The news said you folks had the strongest storm surge in 60 years all along the East coast.
Strange stuff everywhere.

Yep...9f again for St George UT. So I think this is like the 4th? day of 9f and one day of 3F. I wonder how many palms will make it? Somedays they did not get out of the teens.

Yeah, a lot of people lost their homes due to that storm which coincided with high tides. The east coast of Britain is very prone to erosion but other areas suffer as well.

Yeah, Jay, imagine my surprise when H came home from Kelowna today and said there's no snow on the ground there at all.
We had an inch of snow yesterday and another skiff overnight.
Today was totally overcast in Vernon, not 5 min of sun.
And he said Kelowna looked like spring.
Just 35 miles away.
I hope your y. rostrata look good after 2 arctic blasts.

I was in Vernon today for work and it was like driving into Alberta.
It was a nice drive back to some sunshine.
I think the rostrata's will survive. They have been through it before. They better
survive or i'll probably cry.
