Whatchamacallit's red thorns
These things are so stiff, they're like petrified wood.
I know why they're red.
To hide all the blood from fingers.
The nursery should sell bandaids with each plant.

The two pups are doing well since separating from the mom last year (excuse the weeds):

She's a beauty. I think we concluded it was a Furcraea since we saw a great photo of what the sucker root looked like.

Yes that's true.Furcraea since we saw a great photo of what the sucker root looked like.
But I didn't think Furcraeas had hard red/brown spikes (if any).
