Bought a starfruit tree on clearance, have some concerns
1. The tree was grown in a green house, it's about 8 feet tall now. But the stem can't seem to support the tree, its almost like the trunk is not wide enough and the tree weeps down. Is this common for this plant? Do I need to prune it, it has very small side branches....so nothing to prune except the top. Tree needs to be robust enough to withstand wind gusts when it will be outside, and small enough to overwinter indoors.
How should I go about this?
2. Any tips on overwintering it indoors?
3. Will I get fruit? It's flowering now.
Thanks for your help

Sorry to hear about your seedlings dying. It looked very promising.
Anyway, I think I'll just put tree in a large pot, with some heavy rocks at the bottom, and tie to a thick steak and just let it swoop down.
This is what tree looks like now, for anyone that's curious. Its definitely a very hard to keep upright plant. It fell down a few times now and broke some branches. I'm not sure how much it;s caused by it being grown in a greenhouse

Thanks, duke.
That's a nice looking plant you've got, certainly worth looking after.
I found both stems and branches were really really weak and broke in the slightest breeze.
So maybe they need total protection from wind.
