I took this photo recently of a spicebush swallowtail butterfly (Papilio troilus) resting on a frond of a bottle palm. These are common, but seem exotic when on a rare palm.

nice photo.......I try to take photos of Butterflys too.....but they always seem to take off when I get close. :cry:

Got lucky, I guess. I was able to snap 3 shots from pretty close before it took off.
