Jim was kind enough back in 2010 to give me some of his Yucca seeds when I visited him in person. That was before I had visited the cold hardy and subtropical forum.
His constricta hybrid seeds sprouted and all died but one. The plant was planted into our garden spring of 2011:

It was getting so big so fast, it made the giant Sequoia beside it look tiny. It was transplanted March 2013. Here it is now, one of our fastest growing Yuccas:

Thanks again, Jim!

Hello Adam,
Thanks for showing us your fast growing Yucca hybrid. I have also observed, that man-made garden hybrids are much faster growers than plants grown from wild collected seeds.
Do you have any more information about Jim's hybrid with Yucca constricta?
I have a webpage with all those crosses I am aware of: http://www.bennyskaktus.dk/yucca-hybrid ... ntury.html
But I only have the following crossing with Yucca constricta:
Yucca constricta x filamentosa, made by Robert Pitman, Idaho, USA in 2000.
Yucca constricta x recurvifolia, made by ?, Hungary 200?
And there are a few which has the hybrid Yucca constricta x filamentosa as one of the parents crossed with something diffferent.
Please help me update the information on my webpage.
Thanks
Benny

Hi Adam,
nice Yucca. I can see some constricta genes in that Yucca......It also looks like a Y. arkansana too. It will be interesting to see its bloom. Keep us updated on its progress.
