My Best Yucca Bloom

Post by lucky1 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 10:03 am

This guy's finally open.
Absolutely THICK with flowers crowding each other.

Hummingbirds are even attracted to it...hey, maybe we don't need a yucca moth if hummingbirds will polllinate :D
I'm not fast enough to get a pic of the hummingbird on it.

The creamy white flowers look so nice, and the flower petals are tasty in a salad. :D

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

That would be hard for me too live in an area without hummingbirds. :(

marceli, Really? None?

Yup, Jesse, 8 inches of rain in June had its effect.
That shot is looking towards the heavily treed slope that faces north...

My side will resemble toast in a couple of weeks.
