You've got a lot of great plants there, RJ.

That Liriodendron is going to outgrow your yard in....oh.....about 10 minutes

Thanks Barb, the liriodendron is a columnar so hopefully it rockets mostly up. I am more worried about my sycamore which may crowd the north side of my yard.

liriodendron
They're magnificent trees; I wasn't aware there were columnars available.

The sycamore crowding the north side of yard?
Good idea to make friends with the north neighbour; he won't see the sun in 5 years

All joking aside, you've got some very special plants RJ.

I had no idea that there were columnars either, my local nursery had 2, had to have one. I was told they will reach 60 feet tall by 14 feet wide at maturity. One of my favorite trees. Your right about the sycamore, they grow to be massive. Alas, mine is just a 15 ft baby :D

Thanks Mike, I only wish my winters were a little more like yours in Jersey. Lots of protection needed up here.

I can imagine it must get pretty damned cold for a long period of time too. When it does get cold here, it usually is never for as long as up your way.
