we have a supervisor & a digger
What a gaggle of loonies we'd all be ... digging in a field.

Nice varieties Andy.
My y.schottii all germinated, and immediately died from the heat last summer.
Obviously need full shade when that young.

Two newest Yucca additions

Post by seedscanada » Thu May 30, 2013 4:28 pm

My new Yucca faxoniana from our friends at Rice Road Greenhouses in Fonthill

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/seedscanada/8883668320/" title="Yucca faxoniana installed by seedscanada, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7298/8883 ... d3ed_z.jpg" width="480" height="640" alt="Yucca faxoniana installed"></a>.

And Yucca aloifolia purpurea from Mori greenhouses in NOTL

.<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/seedscanada/8883053581/" title="Yucca aloifolia purpurea by seedscanada, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3818/8883 ... 796b_z.jpg" width="480" height="640" alt="Yucca aloifolia purpurea"></a>

And with those, it seems I have 27 species or cultivars of yucca planted outside. :D :D

That first one is a stunner, Adam.
Nice purplish hue on the other.

27 species you've got? Wow.

You'll need 5 acres next.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
