I think they're trying to tell me the plant in the pot is dead.

Hope they don't end up laying 15 or so...or this'll be a long post.

Nope, I'm just not fast enough with my camera.
Walk around the corner and ... poof ... they scatter in two directions.

But looking at the size of those eggs, and the size of the female, I feel really sorry for her.
Grunt, grunt.
And the male is just lookin' pretty.
Ahem...

Nope, she's still sitting on 'em.

And just yesterday, I dragged my recovering Chinese Fan Palm to a new spot on the patio, grouped with a couple of Sago Palms.
Watered them heavily as they'd been really dry under a roof.
Removing some "weeds" from the fan palm, I found yet another clutch of Quail eggs, now totally flooded with water.

The place is becoming a zoo...deer all over the place at dusk, chipmunks driving the dog crazy, a Robin's nest in a shrub just beside the water tap (I almost had a heart attack! :? ), 8 hummingbirds zipping past the patio chairs, osprey and blue heron eating the goldfish in the pond... oh, and a marmot or gopher living in the barn, also driving the dog insane.

you'll have to charge admission to your zoo Barb! :D

My outside goldfish had babies last year......many of the babies are alive but all 4 of the adults are gone......with no bodies.......I wonder what is eating them? Some of the offspring are brown in color.......I'm sure those will last the longest.

With all the rain we're having/had, they can just lick it off plant leaves.

Aaron, have you had these huge rainstorms too?
Weatherman said they're approaching BC from the southeast, and "curling around to the west".

Enough rain here.

We got a bit of rain, some but not a lot. I think about 1/8inch last night, it did rain in Boise today when I was there in the morning. Maybe it will hit us in a couple of days. :D

Apparently weather off the Pacific is drying out, with considerable improvement on the way.
So the wet may be gone.

Our storms have finally backed off, but may return if you're getting lots of wind.
