Picked up these seed pods from a rest area outside Wichita. Maybe Y.glauca (but not too sure)
Would anyone have any suggestions for germinating these?
I've read to sow them on the surface and light may be necessary?

This worked for me with various yucca, usually within 1 month. Someone on the board told me how to do it.
-scarify by nicking each seed with a knife;
-Put in 130-140 F water to kill fungus mold etc. and allow to soak 1 day with water cooling to room temp.
-Soak 2 more days in room temperature water.
-put in moist vermiculite in sealed container/ baggie and heat to 85 F m/l until germination occurs.
-remove once radicle and root have formed
-plant with radicle below the surface so that it remains moist.
