Wow
Who needs curtains?

I still think that Philodendron is a Selloum.

I may throw my Pachypodium lamerei in the compost after I've seen yours.

Remember when that Sequoia was a foot tall?
Incredible at 7 feet :D
The township will start charging you boulevard rent.

My princeps seedlings from Garry--while smaller than yours--are nice too.
Great seed source!

So, are you convinced princeps, tesan, takil(?) should be planted in the ground as youngsters?

The ice plant around the base of the Butia(??) palm looks fabulous!!!!

I bet I'll find larger castor plants in my town but the rest.... Jim, you and your plants would inspire everyone who has seen them once.... That was happened to me once upon a time.

Thanks you guys/gals......

These is Ice plant there Barb but not around the Butia.....
don't throw your Madagascar palm away :D pretty insane right-
shows what a lot of heat/early start and lots of watering can do :D

It has been insanely sunny this year,we had our first cloudy day in
like 2 months last week or so.

The Castor beans are over 13' right now.

Only the Cactus and palms stay in the ground

Lots of watering?
I thought they were supposed to be dry-ish...all that water storage area in their thick trunks?

Sheesh, so that's my problem!

Off to go drown my P.lamerei.

Barb

PS: Jim, what's the palm with the iceplant around it?
Didn't think Trachy because it's bluish?

Every year I think, man, this stuff will be huge by fall..... with some of the palms
I will be needing a ladder next year-when it's time to cover.

They are getting big enough to notice from the road now-I think in
summer most people see the Bananas and Castors from the road
and miss the palms and cactus.

How is your Australian Tree Fern doing? any specific pics of that this time of the year? and you over winter it right??

I bought a small one at Mulhall's and have it in a pot. Grows pretty fast as long as I can keep it out of direct/hot sun.

My T.ferns were killed last fall by 18-22F temps-it was supposed to be 27F.

The Antarctica made it but was damaged, one of the Cooperi is still green
but I don't think it can come back-there is a pic in there of one of the 2 backups
I planted in spring to replace them...C.Brownii and D.Squarrosa are gone too.
