Here's the neighbor's yard. Basically this is how the entire area looks. BROWN. My yard sticks out like a sore thumb with its lushness and greenness. We need rain bad!

Your front yard

Yes, the yard looks awesome!!!!

Did you grow your Trachycarpus for a while indoors before planting it outside, or did it start from a younger plant outside? I live in zone 5B/6A depending on the map you look at.

Do you take the Croton in every winter or is that a plant that overwinters without protection?

Also, do you have any photos of your palms at night with the lights on? I'm trying to find a solar powered spot that will give good light for at least 4 or 5 hours.

Everything is coming long nicely.....

I was looking at the weather this morning and maybe, just maybe
you guys will get in on some of these ridge riding waves and get some
decent rainfall....we have some 40-50% chances next week but there are 95-104F
temps forecast for this area during the same period so,it may get ugly if it does rain!

Sheesh, Tim, I remember when those Tiki Gods looked like the biggest things out there.

Quick...take more pics of the house before you can`t see it anymore.

Very nice!

I planted the big one as a 3 gallon in 2008. The middle one was planted as a 15 gallon in 2010.

Croton is dug up in the fall and I overwinter it in my living room. I will try to take some pics this weekend of my lights on. They are pretty decent, but not overly bright.

Another year or so and my front yard will be ALL garden, lol. I should really stop expanding...

Can you get addicted to plants like a drug? Do I need rehab?

The good news is that rehab is held at your local nursery... :P
