I saw that........pretty cool that the great lakes area (and Iowa...Jim!) was so warm while Alaska was so cold. We are still on the mild side.

Pretty cool wasn't exactly the phrase I used.
Had a 5-minute hailstorm today, cold cold winds.
I'm gettin' the down vest out again.

My poor seedlings...all of them are out in various places. Phoenix, Veitchia, etc. etc.
To hell with it.
Thinning the herd.

Grumble grumble, bitch bitch.

Too bad your area has the chills.......we are suppose to get into the upper 60's today.......it feels nice. The ground must still be cold since the Washy still has no growth.

Tim, your wooden fence behind it should help warm the soil on a sunny day.
Surprised your Washy hasn't started yet.

Yeah, Jim, and remember when you had 4 or 6 inches of rain in a weekend too ???
We had -1C last night...heavy frost at dawn.
I'm avoiding looking out back at my palm seedlings.

That is wicked cool.

Speaking of anomolies, it was forcested to go -10C tonight here (record low). Fortunately, its changed to -5 (2C below average). Asiatic lilies are a month ahead.

Maybe some rain mixing with snow tonight.

It was 35F last night, only very light/scattered frost.

Finally looks like we will break the cold/frost cycle nest week with more 70s-80s.

Congrats Igor-you have been very patient!
