Hey guys I opened some of the palms -mostly great results except tent method, roof was transparent and created a greenhouse effect. I will change colour of the roof next year

Mike, are you not worried about a cold spell possibly coming on in the next month or so? I opened mine but left three sides of my boxes up thinking I'm better safe than sorry. Thoughts?

Hey Wheelman my palms are usually unwrapped by mid-march or end of march. I used to do it in April but global warming. You are right about weather though. I used to do snow removal and I have seen snow storms in April before. I thiink you should look at your long range forecast that shows 14 day look ahead and follow it for a couple of days and see if it fluctuates if not go ahead and unwrap. I think it is warmer where you are. Anyway part of the reason my palm are tough is because they are exposed to the elements.
Cheers

Mike, great news!
Interesting comment about the clear plastic on the tent protection.

And Jordan...good work!

Hey Wheelman you were definitely correct in hesitating to open up your palms . In March and early April the temp are all over the place. I actually have not opened anything for 5-6 days now. It will be 22C here this week-end. I will do more and make more videos
Cheers

Now you tell me! I just took my frames down today! LOL My ten day is showing a low of 35F next week sunday, other than that it's lows in the 40s.
I guess worse case I throw up some garbage frames to throw some plastic over for a semi greenhouse.

Hey Wheelman with those temps you are fine . Only temps in the lower 20's or upper teens are a problem
